The challenge
The brokerage needed a platform to run its business and the people to build and maintain it. Doing that alone meant three separate projects: hiring engineers in the United States, appointing a hosting provider, and setting up an operating company in India. Three vendors, three contracts, three sets of risk, and no single party accountable for the result.
It wanted one partner to carry all of it, with ownership passing to the brokerage at the end.
Our approach
- One partner, three workstreams in parallel. Platform development, hosting and company set-up ran side by side, so the team and the legal structure were ready when the platform went live.
- An end-to-end suite in 45 days. A dedicated engineering team built and launched the full platform: listings, agent CRM, transaction management, lead generation and back-office.
- Hosted and watched around the clock. SSGSERV managed the hosting, with 24/7 monitoring from its network operations centre (NOC), and held the platform at 99.9% uptime.
- A company built to be handed over. SSGSERV set up an Indian private limited company and staffed it with a dedicated team of 25, backed by 10 specialists from SSGSERV's shared support team.
- Everything transferred. After two years, ownership of the company passed to the brokerage, together with the platform, the hosting and the dedicated team. SSGSERV's NOC monitoring ended at handover, and the shared specialists returned to SSGSERV.
The impact
In two years the brokerage went from no platform and no team to owning both, along with the company that employs them. All 25 dedicated team members moved across with the transfer.
Why it matters
A company does not need to be large to own its offshore capability. When one partner carries the full path, from code to hosting to legal entity, a mid-sized firm can own what is usually built only by enterprises.
